It depends on the equipment and what the repair involves. See when you need an R-Stamp contractor, or call us and we'll help you sort it out.
What's the difference between a repair and an alteration?
A repair restores equipment to safe condition without changing its rating or service. An alteration changes a unit's rating, capacity, or intended service. Both are covered under our R-Stamp certificate.
