R-Stamp certified welding and repair for boilers and pressure vessels
Frank Zotynia & Son is now R-Stamp certified. The same Hackensack team that has served New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania since 1999 can now repair and alter your pressure equipment to code, on schedule and on budget.

What R-Stamp certification means
The R Stamp is a Certificate of Authorization from the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors. Ours authorizes the repair and alteration of boilers, piping, and Section VIII, Division 1 metallic pressure vessels, to the requirements of the National Board Inspection Code and to jurisdictional requirements, at our shop and at field sites.
Every R-Stamp repair follows a written quality system and is inspected by an Authorized Inspection Agency (ours is Hartford Steam Boiler, or HSB), so the work is documented and ready to show an inspector or insurer.
What we repair
Our R-Stamp authorization covers the repair and alteration of boilers, piping, and Section VIII, Division 1 metallic pressure vessels, to the requirements of the National Board Inspection Code and the jurisdiction the equipment is in.
We do this work at our Hackensack shop and at field sites. It sits alongside our full welding and mechanical services, from process piping and pipe fitting to structural steel and custom fabrication.

Why the right stamp matters
If you own or operate a boiler or pressure vessel, you are responsible for making sure repairs are done by a qualified, authorized company. Cutting corners can cost far more than the repair:
- Equipment out of service. An inspector who finds undocumented welds can take a unit out of service until the work is corrected.
- Fines. Jurisdictions can fine owners for repairs that weren't documented and inspected.
- Insurance trouble. A claim tied to a repair that wasn't done to code can be questioned or denied.
- Paying twice. Work that isn't code compliant often has to be redone by a certified R-Stamp contractor, with more downtime.
An R-Stamp repair gives you the fix and the inspection record in one job.
How a job works
- Tell us what you have. Call or send the form with the type of equipment, the nameplate information, and what needs repair.
- Site survey. We look at the equipment on site and go over the repair with you.
- Repair plan. We prepare the repair plan and coordinate with our Authorized Inspection Agency before work starts.
- Repair and inspection. Our welders do the work to code, with inspection at the required points.
- Documentation. You receive the completed repair record for your files, ready to show an inspector or insurer.
Commitment. Reliability. On time and on budget.

Since 1999, Frank Zotynia & Son has built its name on commitment, reliability, and finishing on time and on budget.
